They served us and now we serve them!

Aliyah is a time of ascension, a time when one commits to many possibilities and opportunities.  An integral part of aliyah is the almost certainty of two very profound moments when, as a  Jewish people, part of an incredible nation we stand together in support and unity. The one, knowing that as Jews we are a persecuted nation, so there is  the constant pending time of war, the other is when, as parents, we raise our children and then the time comes, when we know they leave home to serve in our IDF.

The community remembers Bella Nick

The late Bella, was for many years, a wonderful volunteer on the Kfar Saba Telfed Regional Committee and until recently, delivered Telfed Magazines.  She will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Testimony of Leon Schwartz

Leon was born in Jassy, Romania on the 22nd February 1922 and was one of 7 children. At age 11 he attended a trade School and learnt to become a fitter and turner.  The Jews of Jassy were mainly tradesmen and were well-respected.There was very little anti-Semitism there. His older brother, David served in the Romanian army from 1937-1939.
