Musical Welcome To the New Year - Jerusalem

Some ten days before Rosh Hashanah, a lovely musical welcome was accorded to the new year about to enter the scene in the masorti Synagogue in Jerusalem - also marking the re-inauguration of the Synagogue after its renovation - by the Synagogue's Meitar Choir, conducted by Anat Rubinstein,  in a joint concert with the Eitz Chaim Choir of Raanana, conducted by Moshe Cohen.

Morris and Ettie Silber: Following their children, their grandchildren and their dreams


Morris and Ettie Silber of Johannesburg are making Aliya to join their children and grandchildren in Israel. Morris (89) and Ettie (85) are fulfilling their lifetime dream of living in the Holy land. They will be staying with their children, Alan and Diane Silber and grandchildren, Yishai, Danit, Batsheva and Michal.

Maurice Fluxman recalls the Bnei Zion of days gone by...

Picture: Maurice together with his late wife (then girlfriend), Lydia, at the beach in Tel Aviv in the summer of 1950.  Her name then was Lydia Misheiker; she became Lydia Fluxman two years later and the couple were together for 60 years until her death in 2009.
