Telfed was invited by “Partnership Together” to run a training session for the three short term Shlichot going to the South African Youth Movement Summer Camps in December this year. “Partnership Together” (P2G) – a division of the Jewish Agency, connects communities in Beit Shemesh and the Mateh Yehuda regional council, with the Jewish community of South Africa.

All three Shlichot were chosen from within the Partnership region, for the Bnei Akiva, Habonim and Netzer summer camps.

Dorron Kline, Telfed’s CEO gave an audio-visual presentation about the work that Telfed does within the realm of Aliyah and Klita since 1948, followed by an explanation on South Africa today and the challenges faced there by the local Jewish community.

Dorron was joined at the training session by Dr. Liat Amar Arran, the incoming Director of the Israel Centre in Johannesburg and Merav Shany, the Director of Partnership Together Beit Shemesh/Mateh Yehuda.

All three Shlichot expressed the same words of appreciation: “We are amazed at how much information we just received and feel much better prepared for our upcoming Shlichut to South Africa. Thank you!”
