Telfed participates in MASA leadership training seminar for South African Youth Movements

Panelists (from l-r): Aviva Chalbi (P2G Chairman, Beit Shemesh), Howie Gordon (past Habonim Shaliach to Johannesburg and a teacher in Kibbutz Tzora), Ilan Frydman (Center for Religious Affairs in the Diaspora, World Zionist Organisation), Tzion Gabay (P2G Chairman, Mateh Yehuda Regional Council) and  Dorron Kline (CEO, Telfed).

On Sunday 28th October, Telfed was invited to the beautiful Moshav of Ness Harim, that nestles in the dark green forests of the Judean Hills. Here, at the JNF field school, a unique gathering took place.

All the MASA gap year participants from Bnei Akiva and Habonim South Africa gathered for a two day leadership training seminar, under the auspices of the Jewish Agency's “Partnership Together” (P2G) project.

“Partnership Together” (P2G) joins communities in Beit Shemesh and the Mateh Yehuda regional council with the Jewish community of South Africa.

At the gathering Dorron Kline, Telfed’s CEO was invited to participate in a panel discussion on leadership and Jewish Peoplehood, as displayed within the 10 Commandments.

Dorron reminded the Bnei Akiva and Habonim participants that when the time is right for them to utilise their leadership talents in Israel, Telfed is here to assist them with their absorption process, with scholarships, employment advice, housing, volunteering opportunities and over 70 events per year for Southern African olim.
