Lone soldiers lunch in Jerusalem

"As an advisor in the Lone Soldier Center in Memory of Michael Levin and as a Telfed volunteer, I organized a lunch for some lone soldiers to the Hummus ben Sira in Jerusalem last week.

We all got to know each other, and I took this opportunity to answer some of the questions they had. We had a great time and really managed to chil out. It was great to host them for such a nice event and it clearly meant a lot to the soldiers.

Afterwards, we went for a stroll to the shuk Machaneh Yehuda where we parted ways.

For me, it is a priveledge to volunteer with lone soldiers as I myself was one. I feel fortunate to be able to give back by helping other lone soldiers in need of help or just to give them a bit of time and motivation to show that people care, that they have a family. "
