Lone soldiers from South Africa, Australia and the Netherlands with Telfed representatives in Ibim
Last week, Telfed’s Dana Ben Chail (Head of Volunteerism), Dana Levy Tavor (Head of the Endowments, Scholarships & PRAS Department) and Daniela Shapira (Community Services Administrator – Aliyah & Klita Department) met with lone soldiers in Ibim.
The group consisted of 9 Australians, 4 South Africans and 1 Dutch national, who are part of Garin Tzabar (a lone soldiers programme) and who will be enlisting for their military service in 3 weeks’ time.
Once the pizzas were devoured, the trio presented Telfed and its manifold services reminding everyone that, should they ever need anything during and after their military service (scholarships, assistance with housing and employment, amongst others), they would always have Telfed, here in Israel, to turn to.
Backpacks filled with gifts and vouchers were distributed to the soldiers, who were very appreciative of the presents, the visit and the food. The Telfed representatives enjoyed getting to know these adventurous youngsters and wish them good luck in their upcoming service.
