The 8200 Social Program is a non-profit acceleration program for social technology (social impact) ventures, founded by The 8200 Alumni Association.

The program was launched in order to harness the human capital of 8200 alumni for the benefit of the whole society and is Israel’s first accelerator for Social Impact ventures. The program harnesses the human capital and resources of the 8200 alumni for the benefit of the whole society.

The aim of the program is to assist (pro-bono) early-stage ventures that aim to solve social problems by technological means, and have at least a proof of concept or a prototype.

The program focuses mainly on the following fields: disabilities, promoting gender equality, the elderly, education, parenthood and environmental protection.

So far the 23 graduated ventures have made many notable achievements since participating in the program, raised millions of dollars in seed capital investments, won international contests, successfully completed large-scale pilots in Israel and abroad and received grants from the Israeli Office of the Chief Scientist (OCS)

Telfed is partnering with the 8200 Social Program in order to help them find suitable social impact ventures from amongst Southern Africa, Australian and Dutch new and veteran Olim.

The program is a 5-month acceleration period, full with workshops, events, and meetings with successful entrepreneurs, top-tier professionals in various domains, and prominent investors.

Each cycle is composed of 10-12 entrepreneurs, after a comprehensive screening procedure.
